The Future of the MIT es un grupo de trabajo que busca ideas para que dicha institución evolucione y continúe como referente de la educación internacional, analizando las propuestas de diferentes colectivos (estudiantes, investigadores, profesores, etc.) del MIT. Para ello, se elaboró un informe del cual se han extraído 16 recomendaciones destinadas a hacer del MIT un centro global y flexible gracias, en parte, al uso de las tecnologías.
